То, что Truemors.com находится в "практически неживом состоянии" - это исключительно личное мнение Синодова. Причем непонятно чем обоснованное. А поскольку сообщение опубликовано не им, редакции Вебпланеты было бы уместно сопроводить это мнение своей точкой зрения. Насколько я помню, Вебпланета это "лидер среди российских онлайновых изданий по вопросам развития Интернета", а не просто сервис по агрегации контента. Не говоря уже о том, что Вебинформ, как "исследовательский раздел Вебпланеты", претендует на особую аналитичность в области цифр. В данном же сообщении никакой аналитичности, мягко говоря, не наблюдается. Или, может быть, я не правильно понял цели Вебинформ? Очень просто, например, было бы сделать следующие наблюдения. Согласно Alexa.com (см. мировую статистику Webplanet.ru vs Truemors.com) статистика посещений Truemors.com сравнима с таковой Вебпланеты, и оба сайта занимают место около 23,000-24,000 по популярности среди всех сайтов Интернета. А согласно Compete.com (см. статистику Truemors.com по США) Truemors.com имел в июле около 44 тыс. уникальных посетителей из США. При этом, опять же согласно Алексе, около 50% посетителей Truemors.com приходят из США. Соответственно, можно оценить, что Truemors.com в июле посетило около 90 тыс. человек. Совсем неплохо для сайта запущенного в июне. Да, в августе траффик Truemors.com существенно упал, но (не говоря уже о том, что упал-то он до уровня Вебпланеты) это еще не повод делать вывод, что проект лопнул или находится в неживом состоянии. Ну один месяц отрицательная динамика и что из этого? Причин для локальных колебаний может быть много, включая сезон отпусков в августе. Давайте подождем несколько месяцев, а потом уже будем пытаться судить. На Вебпланете, кстати, стабильная отрицательная динамика последние полгода (согласно Алексе), но портал развивается, и я бы не стал Вебпланете ставить траффик в укор. Лучше бы была статья, что в США за $12 тыс. можно сделать и запустить портал, который (учитывая общую емкость американского рынка) за один месяц достигает почти 100 тыс. уникальных посетителей, что сравнимо со многими известными российскими порталами. Была бы хорошая иллюстрация к справедливым словам из "программной" статьи Андреева по поводу запуска Вебинформ. "Интернетом в Америке пользуется сейчас - я обещал без цифр, да? - ну ладно, скажем просто: подавляющее большинство населения. Это значит, что даже если вы еще не запустили свой интернет-проект, у него уже есть аудитория. Есть плодородная почва, на которой прорастет практически любое зерно." По заколовку статьи. Очевидно, что $12 тыс. на создание полноценной компании с full-time staff не хватит. Как seed capital на прототип - может хватить, но потом все равно надо или работать с командой фанатов/совладельцев готовых месяцами не получать ни копейки/цента, или вкладывать еще своих денег (как вариант, брать деньги от FFF - Friends, Family, Fools), или, если уж очень повезет, то найти ангелов. Мой пойнт был в том, что (даже для США) посещаемость Truemors.com вполне приемлима для стартапа двух месяцев отроду. Возможно, было бы корректнее сравнивать его с посещаемостью аналогичных его профилю американских ресурсов. Я сравнил его с Вебпланетой просто потому, что именно она перепечатала мнение, что Truemors.com "находится в практически неживом состоянии". Хорошо поплевывать на кого-то и позлорадствовать, что еще один стартап загнулся, правда обидно, что они это не замечают и просто делают свою работу. Целей и времени провести систематическое сравнительное исследование посещаемости Truemors.com по отношению к другим американским стартапам у меня не было. Мое утверждение, что его посещаемость приемлима для стартапа двух месяцев отроду (тем более, если пока потрачено только $12K) - это мое общее мнение исходя из типичных данных, которые я время от времени наблюдаю по другим американским стартапам. Если кто-то проведет подобное систематическое исследование - будет интересно увидеть. Хочу только заметить, что когда Вы сравниваете две вещи, Вы тем самым даете им обеим некую оценку: При том, что один проект - в Рунете, а второй - в англо-нете. Вариант #2 это Ваша интерпретация. Я писал только то, что у Truemors посещаемость такая же большая..., и нигде не намекал, что у Вебпланеты посещаемость такая же маленькая.... Напротив, я очень уважительно отношусь к редакторам и общей концепции/уровню Вебпланеты, и в другом топике специально писал, что лидером может быть и тот, кого таковым воспринимает большинство из его целевой аудитории, и в этом случае это может и не подтверждаться абсолютными количественными показателями (доходами и количеством пользователей). Еще раз поясню. Я считаю, что надо уважительно относиться к другим сайтам, тем более к стартапам. Люди вкладывают свое время, деньги, зачастую душу. Часто рискуют, причем очень сильно и многим. Ну да, интерпретация ваших слов ... возможная интерпретация. "Моя" она - только в том смысле, что я понимаю, что она возможна. И, кстати, мы ведь понимаете, что мерить русскоязычный трафик Алексой - не очень корректно. Это, на самом деле, про то же самое речь: сравнивать - в хитах/хостах - рунетскую посещаемость с англо-нетской настолько некорректно, что даже непонятно, каким инструментом их сравнивать ... Чтобы закрыть вопрос про интерпретацию, я подчеркну, что у меня нет никаких стимулов агитировать ни за ни против как конкретных сайтов (в США или в России), так и вообще по поводу Англонет vs. Рунет. Если бы я хотел еще что-то сказать по поводу Truemors vs. Вебпланта (кроме того, что я уже сказал и объяснил) - я бы так и говорил, без намеков, стеснений или камня за пазухой. Более того, у меня искренняя симпатия к российским сайтам и, если я и буду необъективен, то только в их пользу. Последнее я отмечаю в целях full disclosure, осознавая свою потенциально возможную (но не сознательную!) необъективность в этом отношении. Ну а посетителя Вебпланеты взрослые и разумные люди, и должны проводить свой собственный due diligence и приходить к собственным выводам, а не искать двойной смысл и различные интерпретации чьих-то слов. Ваше замечание про Алексу совершенно справедливое. Я исходил из того, что это common knowledge, но, возможное, стоит сделать пояснение. Алеса подсчитавает трафик сайтов по данным от пользователей, которые установили Alexa Toolbar на своем компьютере. Исходя из известности и общепризнанности Alexa.com как измерителя посещаемости сайтов, они считают, что данные пользователей их toolbar являют собой статистически достоверную выборку по пользователям всемирного Интернет. В целом по Интернету это подтверждается и признано, однако исследований подтверждающих статистически достаточное проникновение Алексы для сайтов с относительно небольшим трафиком, а также для сайтов в России (безотносительно к трафику), я не встречал. Поэтому (учитывая, что количество посетителей установивших Alexa Toolbar может сильно влиять на показатели Алексы) Алексу нельзя считать абсолютно объективным показателем фактического трафика для всех сайтов. С другой стороны, альтернативного и открытого инструмента позволяющего сравнивать трафик сайтов в разных странах я не знаю. Например, Compete.com и Quantcast дают фактический трафик (они не считают по toolbars), но только по посетителям из США. Кроме того, по моим личным наблюдениям, мне кажется, что сайты с посещаемостью измеряемой десятками тысяч в месяц подсчитываются Алексой достаточно корректно независимо от страны. Я рад, что вы дали свои комментарии. Они позволили прояснить некоторые моменты, которые, возможно, можно было понять по-разному исходя из моего первоначального поста.
